Just in time for summer, big things are happening at Teamwork.com. This month, we’re rolling out Advanced Reporting in beta, launching a game-changing AI feature, and delivering powerful automation upgrades to help you work faster and smarter. Whether you're deep in the data, streamlining workflows, or keeping your team aligned with less effort, these latest enhancements are designed to give you more control, more insights, and more time back in your day. Let’s dive in.

Unleash the full power of your data with Advanced Reporting, now in beta

We’re rolling out the red carpet for the beta launch of Advanced Reporting, the ultimate layer of flexibility and control built on top of Custom Reports. Whether you're a data nerd (we don’t judge) or just looking to streamline reporting, this powerful feature gives you everything you need to explore, manipulate, and visualize your Teamwork.com data like never before.

Advanced Reporting lets you build exactly the report you need, your way—letting you combine, transform, and calculate your data on the fly.

And visualizing your data with clarity has never been easier with more views, more data, and more ways to see the big picture. Whether it’s tracking trends or drilling into specifics, it’s all at your fingertips.

Multiple views, infinite insights

  • Create customizable tabs within the same report to explore different angles—no need to duplicate or start from scratch.

  • Choose from flexible chart types like bar, line, and area, or export data to CSV for external use.

Dive deeper with smarter sorting and grouping

  • With multi-level sorting, you can organize results by up to four fields.

  • Group and pivot across multiple layers to unlock richer analysis.

  • Apply aggregation methods like sum, average, minimum, maximum—even weighted mean—to reveal deeper patterns.

Get granular with Advanced Filters

Target exactly what matters with precision filtering using conditional operators like:

  • is equal to

  • is not equal to

  • is greater than

  • is less than

Build your own formulas

Go beyond standard data points by creating custom expressions right inside the report to generate new calculations and insights. It’s like adding your own smart columns to the report.

And keep your eye out for Advanced Formulas next month, giving you the tools to build out complex custom calculations with ease... not to mention access to a rich and growing library of functions, fields, operators, and advanced options for creating tailored insights directly within reports.

Meet your new superpower: AI comment summarization

We’ve just launched one of our most powerful AI features yet… and it’s a total game changer: AI comment summarization is here!

Ever found yourself scrolling through a long, tangled thread of comments on a task, trying to piece together the key takeaways? Now you don’t have to. With just one click, our new AI feature instantly distills lengthy comment threads into concise, easy-to-digest summaries.

It’s perfect for:

  • Cutting through the clutter in complex discussions

  • Getting up to speed in seconds

  • Keeping everyone aligned without the back-and-forth

Once your summary is ready, you decide what to do next:

  • Keep it private as your own personal recap

  • Add it to the thread so your entire team can benefit from the clarity

Plus, shared summaries become part of the thread history, making it easy to track context, decisions, and next steps all in one place. Give it a try on your next task! Your future self will thank you.

Let these automations updates do the grunt work for you

Three new improvements are hitting automations in Teamwork.com, making it easier to create, manage, and track your workflows.

  • New filters in “Manage” tab

    • We’ve added new filters that let you refine your “Manage” tab view by Workflow and Trigger, alongside existing Project and Status filters. These enhancements make it significantly easier for you to find specific automations, especially those that are:

      • Linked to a particular workflow

      • Triggered by a specific event (like task added or assignee changed)

Not only that, but you can also filter automations across multiple projects for speedier refinement.

  • New usage table

    • With the new Usage Log Table, you can see the full story of your automation executions with helpful information like timestamps, execution status, and automation details. This table replaces the previously limited, per-automation history log view that made account-wide monitoring trickier.

    • Now you can easily monitor automation performance, identify action overages, and troubleshoot issues—all without digging into each individual automation.

  • Simplified “Create Automation” view

    • Last but not least, we’ve redesigned the automation creation modal to streamline navigation options in the "Create Automation" view. You can now create automations directly in the context of a board or workflow, without multiple (and unncessary) manage and usage tabs of the full automation modal.

Introducing custom expense types

Don’t want to be boxed in by pre-determined expense categories? We’re rolling out custom expense types within Project Budget Expenses, letting you tailor categories to your company’s specific needs.

Two new integrations to help you work smarter

Teamwork.com has a multitude of integrations to level up your works. This month, we’re highlighting two of the newest additions to our integrations suite:

  • According to our friends at Success.io, their new two-way sync with Teamwork.com is ‘the project management sync EOS users have been waiting for.” And who are we to argue? The integration automatically syncs your Success.co todos with whatever Teamwork.com project you select, so you never miss a beat.

  • For all the time tracking aficionados out there (and we know there are a lot of you), the new integration with Whid takes the time you track in Whid, then synchronizes it with Teamwork.com. Bada-bing, bada-boom.

Coming soon: Workflows!

Keep your eyes peeled as we start rolling out the new Workflows feature to accounts over the coming weeks. Our early access users have been loving the flexibility of this long-awaited feature, and we’re excited to get it into all users’ hands throughout the month of June.
